Porto Cervo(Poltu Celvu.^[2] in Gallura) is a hamlet of the municipality of Arzachena, in the province of Sassari in northern Sardinia, a historical-geographical region known as Gallura. In particular, the area of Porto Cervo was called the Mola Mountains. Porto Cervo is the main center of the Emerald Coast and has a resident population of about 421^[1].Old Port dates back to the 1960s, when Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, fascinated by the beauty of this stretch of coastline, decided to buy these lands and together with Swiss-French stage designer Jacques Couelle, later joined by architect Luigi Vietti and later, but only in part, by architect Michele Busiri Vici, to build a tourist site. In 1967 the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club was founded. In the 1980s, work began on the construction of the new port.
